Most of the students may be aware about the fact that just by getting a tag of a “Bachelor/Masters Degree” in any stream does not necessarily guarantee them their DREAM JOB! Some smart students may find their DREAM JOB, many in their pursuits of their DREAM JOB HUNT, finally COMPROMISE for JUST “A JOB” to earn their living! And there are many, many GRADUATES who may not even find “A JOB”.

Today’s competition in every Industry i.e, IT and non-IT, not only demands qualified graduates but also prefers candidates who can demonstrate their productivity and commitment right from DAY 1 of joining a Company. IQuest is in this pursuit of creating such High Performing Working Professionals!

According to a survey conducted by NASSCOM and AMCAT, every year, 32-35 lakh Graduates are coming out of the colleges and 12-15 lakh Engineering Graduates. Out of these, about 25% of Graduates are quite successful in getting JOBS, while the remaining 75% are deprived of the necessary skills and attitude to get a Job.

It is a common knowledge that 65,000 to 68,000 young men and women come out of the 209 Engineering Colleges every year just in Karnataka as graduate engineers. But what is not commonly known is that, as NASSCOM reports, only 25% of them are found to be employable. The picture is much bleaker for the general graduates. According to industry sources only 10-15% of them are considered employable. The reason is most of our graduates simply lack the skills required for the jobs that are available especially in the corporate sector. It is just the issue of this skills gap that iQuest promises to address through its 45 day Employability Enhancement Program (EEP).

The MOTTO of IQuest is to provide High Quality Job Oriented with Industry Relevance and Personality Development(Emotional Intelligence, Assertiveness and other soft skills) Training and Coaching Programs for students of BE,BTech,MTech,ME, MCA, BSc, BCom, BBM, BCA and MBA so as to ENABLE and EMPOWER them to be JOB READY on the INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM. During the 45 day Intense Training Program, the focus will be towards the overall development of candidates on Technologies, Personality Development, Introduction and Usage of the latest tools and techniques that are available and trending in the Industry.

At IQuest we will be doing Competency Mapping / Pre-Assessment (SWOT Analysis). The batch size will be restricted to 40 participants for individual attention and course material will be provided. Role-play with video shoot, play back and revisits for reinforcement are part of the program. A dedicated trainer will be assigned for the contract period. At iQuest, we have a host of visiting faculty to cover different subjects apart from special faculty for specific modules. The course would also provide coaching and mentoring in technical skills, soft skills and domain skills.

One of the most unique and distinguishing features of iQuest is that it prepares students to clear the Employability Assessment Test (EAT) conducted by NASSCOM and AMCAT by virtue of which the participants may not be required to appear for the written test of the employing company. Another key distinguishing feature of iQuest is the preparation it provides for the foundation level certification offered by the iSTQB, the internationally recognized software testing certification for graduate candidates who want to take up software testing as a profession. Many industries have appreciated the training programme and they have also suggested certain training required by the industrial houses. Hence few days special course for industrial needs had also been included in the training. Thousands of youth have benefitted by the training programme and are well placed in different companies.

Participants will also be prepared to face different selection procedures like interviews, group discussion etc. iQuest will also be helping participants secure suitable jobs through its placement services. All this and more will be done at the state-of-the-art facility on the iQuest Campus, Mysuru.
